Khalass, ca suffit!
Je voudrais partager avec vous ce mail reçu ce matin:
Help demand civil, peaceful solutions out of the deadlock.
Together we can make a difference!
Enough! Crisis
Enough! Provocation
Enough! Deadlock
Khalass! Together for Lebanon
Today the leaders in Doha were in deadlock once again and nearly returned to Lebanon. This is completely unacceptable that after all we have suffered due to their irresponsibility that they would even consider returning without solutions!
We will not sit back and watch in silence!
These leaders must be reminded that we will not accept their return without solutions that will end the deadlock and ensure peace and stability for the country.
Together, with citizens from all walks of life, we will once again gather along the airport road citizens to demand that politicians in Doha do not come back until they have reached binding, civil solutions that resolve the current crisis and reactivate state institutions.
Join us on the airport road starting at 9am Tuesday (20 May) to demand your right as a citizen to enjoy peace and security.
We have had ENOUGH of crisis and provocation. It’s our turn to choose the Lebanon WE want.
Show your support for dialogue and civil peace by signing the Khalass petition at www.khalass.net

Please do not fall in the trap, this is a hezb orchestarted campaign…anyone knows that any demo on the road to the airport needs a green light from the occupying forces there…also Kamel Mhanna, Mr Khalass is well known to be very close from the hezb…

First of all, I think you are misinformed about Khalass:
This association is an association of associations among which Hayyabina, PourqueviveleLiban http://www.pourquelelibanvive.com/modules/alaune/ etc…
I can say so as I know few of their founders.
What you are just saying can be considered as a free accusation and diffamatory when you are looking back the work of these associations.
So your comment is somehow politicizing the issue and the expression of the society against those politicians that today destroyed the country.
I cant forget one of them saying a 14 of march 2005: “go back to your home, we are taking care of everything now” and see all what happened since.
We need today all what we can describe as we say in french “les personnes de bonne volonté” and get ride to this political class that destroyed our country and our institutions.

The demo tookplace, with little media coverage. Not many people new about (I talk about people I know who were surprised when I told them about the demonstration). Meanwhile in Doha the rift was widening. It sure looks like our dear leaders are deaf to the demands of the people they are supposed to represent.
Let us wait until 5.pm Beirut time to hear the B.S that the prees release from Doha will dish out in industrial quantities.
“Allah yirham Libnan wa trabo.”

This is exactly the complain of one of the Khalass responsible, to quote her:
“C’est fou comme de nombreuses actions de la societe civile emergent de partout. Il y a des petitions, des groupes sur facebook, des actions terrains au Liban… Si seulement on arrivait a tous se regrouper pour organiser quelque chose de massif… mais sans couverture media TV c’est dur”
Because like what fuziyad illustrates:
“If you are not with us, you are against us”
I am sorry but this lake of coverage prooves that our medias are biast and relunctant to cover what is against their main political backers.

I AM VERY SHOCKED to read FUZIYAD !
It is your duty as a citizen to investigate before spreading diffamatory comments. If you had taken few minutes to go and check KHALASS website http://www.khalass.net you would have noticed the amazing work achieved since 2006 and you would have noticed the numbers of civilian NGOs NON PARTISAN asking for accountability to THE WHOLE current political classes. And Khalass is not the only group trying to work FOR LEBANON. There hundreds of other cvilian nonpartisan initiative in and outside Lebanon. But to gather everyone it needs tones of money and support. The civil society is doing better and better everyday… check the website and if you have any comment than just talk to Khalass people they would be more than happy to hear your point of view.
Faithfully

And about the media coverage… is there any non partisan media in Lebanon ? well this can highlight you about how difficult it can be to spread an info and invite people to demonstrate in Lebanon.
Another hard work to launch for teh civil society would be to create civilian radios, civilians TVs, to make sure internet reaches the villages in Lebanon.
